North Suburban Chapter

In the 1950s, the North Suburban Chapter was founded as the first non-memorial chapter by Marilynne Miller and Audrey Schneiderman. It started as a social group of about 20 people, and by the second year, the chapter had grown to two bowling leagues with members putting on fashion shows, talent shows, plays, and sponsoring a gift shop. About 15 years after forming, it became a couples group. Over the years this chapter has used a variety of community activities to raise money, such as a lucite sale in December, sales of Entertainment Books, and canning, and collected more than $800K.
