Thank you for joining us for the 2026 event!
Running isn’t just about the miles—it’s about the friendships, the memories, and the strength we find in each other.
And nearly 1,000 runners, walkers, and volunteers felt that this year in Chicago, around the country, and beyond as they participated in the 32nd Annual ABC7 Gibbons Run.
We are grateful to all. Every donation helps save lives and brings us closer to a world without leukemia.
Why we do it
For more than three decades, the Leukemia Research Foundation and ABC7 have partnered to bring this landmark event to Chicago to raise funds and awareness and celebrate leukemia survivors and patients. Proceeds from the event benefit the Leukemia Research Foundation, the nation’s largest nonprofit focused exclusively on funding leukemia research and supporting leukemia patients and their loved ones.
Our thanks to all who participated this year - in-person or virtually - including those from Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, American Samoa and Singapore... all working toward raising funds for leukemia research!
And a huge thank you to Dionne Miller and ABC7 for sharing the stories of several event participants who have been touched by leukemia in different ways. Watch their interviews below.
