Join us September 16 for our “Leukemia 101” webinar, as a medical expert from University of Chicago Medicine discusses everything from the initial diagnosis, approaches to treatment, tests that will be run, and more.
This webinar is part of our special Leukemia Awareness Month programming for September.
Lisa Crowder Jackson was only 44 years old when she lost her battle with leukemia.
Twenty-three years later though, her giving spirit continues to live on thanks to her father, Jimmie Crowder, who started the Kingfish Shootout fundraising event in her memory in 2003.
The fishing tournament has grown over the years, and this year a record 88 boats with up to 6 anglers in each, competed in June!

Olympic Silver Medalist Haley Batten has partnered with the Leukemia Research Foundation to help raise awareness and to support patients and research, following her mother’s leukemia diagnosis.
Haley shares her own story below, highlighting the importance of going from “Awareness to Action,” to help inspire others.
“This journey is not just about us,” she emphasizes, “it’s about everyone facing hard battles.”
