Batten family - 300x200

Over the last year, Haley Batten, Olympic Silver Medalist in Mountain Biking, experienced the highest of highs…winning at the Olympics…and the lowest of lows…her mother’s leukemia diagnosis.

Haley shares her story, highlighting the importance of going from “Awareness to Action,” by partnering with the Leukemia Research Foundation to help support patients and research.

Join us for the New & Emerging Treatments program series June 17, 18 and 23!

Get the latest treatment information, learn about research updates, as well as what’s on the horizon for each leukemia subtype (ALL, AML, CML, CLL).

Following presentations from leading medical experts, there will be opportunities for questions.

These programs are intended for leukemia patients, caregivers, family members, and healthcare professionals.

Kim - Windy City Wire - 300x200

Each year for the ABC7 Gibbons 5K Run and 3K Walk, participants join for many reasons. This year, when the event kicks off on May 31 at Montrose Harbor, the Windy City Wire company team will be running for their former colleague, Kimberly.

“We run to honor Kimberly and to raise funds to help fund groundbreaking research and provide critical support to leukemia patients and their families.”

Leukemia Research Foundation has been such a valuable resource for information and support. The mission of this organization is near and dear to my heart; finding a cure. The research that they support may one day bring an end to leukemia. So many strides have been made by this organization’s research and it gives us all the hope and strength to keep trying to do more. I hope I live to see the cure, because I know it is coming.

Since diagnosis, my husband has been through multiple treatments with various post-treatment complications. This financial assistance will allow us to pay a large portion of our medical bills and use our limited income for daily needs, like food and rent. What a relief it is to have assistance.
